PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device, in which a time required till the display of a three-dimensional image can be adjusted as necessary by changing-over the resolution of the three-dimensional image. SOLUTION: This device is provided with ultrasonic wave transmission/ reception means 11-62, signal processing means 63-66, a three-dimensional image constituting means 67 for re-constituting three-dimensional image data based on image data which is generated by the signal processing means 63-66, a resolution designating means 1 to be used for changing-over the resolution of the three-dimensional image by changing at least one of the sampling density of a point to be measured in transmitting/receiving ultrasonic wave and the re- constitution density of image data in the re-constitution of the three-dimensional image, control means 2-10 for controlling the ultrasonic wave transmission/ reception means 11-62 or the three-dimensional image constituting means 67 in accordance with the processing of the means 1, and an image display means 70.
