<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide paper for processing having good processability and high productivity so as to suppress the cracking of the paper and unevennesses at folded parts during press processing and to give press molded paper with high mechanical strength. SOLUTION: This forming processing base paper has a basis weight of 100-500 g/m2 and a density of 0.50-0.70 g/cm3 and meets the requirements 1 and 2 described below: 1 elongation at break in the longitudinal direction determined in accordance with JIS P8113 at 23 deg.C under the water content of 14 wt.% is >=2.0%, and 2 tensile modulus in the longitudinal direction determined in accordance with JIS P8113 at 23 deg.C under the water content of 14 wt.% is 1,000-2,000 MPa.</p> |
