PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To activate engine exhaust emission purifying catalyst by temperature up under HC emission control. SOLUTION: To calculate basic value Base (i) of each control parameter to increase exhaust gas temperature (S1, 2), and each correction quantity Delta (i) based on a temperature difference between actual temperature and target temperature of catalyst (S3, 4), and heat up the catalyst by glow plug when HC concentration in the exhaust gas ACHC exceeds the predetermined value and calculate each re-correction quantity #HCD (i) to decrease correction of control quantity to exhaust gas temperature increase (S5 to, S10), and then calculate Final (i) by Base (i), correction quantity Delta (i) and re-correction quantity #HCD (i) for control. |
