PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem where a language barrier exists in the international communication at the age of information, though foreign languages are used through English conversation, translators, books, etc., which need, however, a high expense, being not prepared usually and not convenient for unexpected application. SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem, learning ability of a personal computer is introduced in a portable telephone set main body. Speech (a natural voice and a sound) which is used in the personal computer which includes foreign language input information is displayed on a display monitor, via mechanism for character conversion. The displayed characters can be easily edited, corrected, converted and displayed to an objective language by an operation panel, and reading kana and accent expression are enabled, so that the barrier of language can be eliminated by using effectively the portable telephone set which is spread widely. |
