PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coated floor layer free from the occurrence of blister, lifting, peeling and the like, having a smooth surface, giving high gloss and having excellent water shielding property. SOLUTION: A floor coating material containing (A) a hydrophilic reaction curing type resin having <=70 deg. contact angle of a hardened film to water and (C) granules having <=300μm average particle diameter and forming a coating film having a granular body ratio by volume of 3 to 55 vol.% per unit volume is applied on the surface of a floor. The component (A) is a 2-component reaction curing type resin composed of a principal agent (a) and a hardening agent (b), at least one of which is preferably a water soluble compound or a water dispersible compound.
