PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust the position of a guide face in the vertical direction according to the diameter of a mill roll. SOLUTION: An elevating/lowering means 25 for elevating/lowering an upper support roll 15 and a first roll chock 11 is provided, a guide member 28 for guiding a work 4 to be rolled is provided on the inlet side and the outlet side of an upper work roll 16, a connection hole 99 and a guide roller 34 are provided on the guide member 28, an oscillating member 29 which is elevated/ lowered in an interlocking manner with the upper support roll 15 and oscillated around the axis 64 of oscillation is provided on the elevating/lowering means 25, a plurality of adjustment holes 81 made with a space of different distance from the axis 64 of oscillation and a guide face 83 which is brought into contact with the guide roller 34 to perform the guide so that the connection holes 99 are coincided with adjustment holes 81 are formed on the oscillating member 29, and a pin driving means 33 for driving a connection pin 31 in an attachable/ detachable manner to/from the connection holes 99 and the selected adjustment hole 81.
