PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of stably obtaining discharge. SOLUTION: A photocatalyst filter 22 is arranged between a discharge electrode 18 and an opposed electrode 20 through frame-shaped fire retardant cushioning materials 28 and 30 made of a nonmetal and the photocatalyst filter 22 is fixed to a case 26 so as to separate the discharge electrode 18 and the opposed electrode 20.
