PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantifying an impurity by utilizing a spectrophotometer or a photodiode array(PDA) when detecting an impurity being applied to the peak analysis of liquid chromatography(LC). SOLUTION: In a method for applying an algorithm for detecting LC impurity, an LC column 20 has a circulation cell 22 that is used together with a UV-VIS spectrophotometer, and a sample 10 is subjected to elution or washing through the LC column 20. When a specific chemical structure of the sample 10 is detected by a PDA detector 34 when exposed to radiation (rays) at a region of 200-800 nm, a characteristic spectral peak is generated through an entrance slit 32 and a grating (diffraction grating) 33. The spectral absorbance of a constituent is calculated from the strength or the like of radiation, and a constituent in a sample is analyzed. |
