PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new game device wherein the play is advanced by the movement of a player in the open air, and a storage medium. SOLUTION: A control unit 4 as a game computing section computes the game based on the location information on the player from a GPS. In this case, the control unit 4 is equipped with a game area setting means, a first displaying means, a character setting means, and a second displaying means. The game area setting means sets a game area based on the present location of the player. The first displaying means displays at least a map in a game area A on a display 2 in the game machine. The character setting means arranges a character in the game area. The second displaying means displays the moving track of the player on the map by the GPS. Then, as a requirement, when the moving track displayed on the map indicates a region B, the character is obtained.
