PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a place for installing a device for backup for saving and preserving data in an auxiliary storage device such as magnetic tape or magnetic disk beforehand for dealing with the fault of hardware of a computer, the fault of software or file and unexpected accident or the like, and also to simplify the procedure of backup. SOLUTION: A user (A) transmits data desired to back up from a personal computer(PC) 2 to a Web server 41 by utilizing the Internet 3. The Web server 41 transmits data to a backup server 71 by utilizing a leased line 6. The backup server 71 preserves (backs up) the received data and transmits them to another backup server 72 or the like by utilizing the leased line 6 and double saving (double backup) is performed. Concerning backup operation by the user (A), the procedure of backup is fixed in one way by displaying and operating a fixed picture on a monitor 15 of the PC 2. |
