PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for a mold, a mold for casting and a manufacturing method therefor having self-hardenability by improving sweat absorption, high stability in dimension and high productivity without generating a casting defect, at a low cost. SOLUTION: The composition for the mold 4 including a binding material, solvent and refractory material, is composed of a colloidal silica as the binding material, water as the solvent and a gypsum as the refractory material and has self-hardenability.
