PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regional information providing method and a system thereof that are effective for a side providing regional information and convenient to a user. SOLUTION: A radio wave transmitted from a portable telephone is received and the position thereof is detected. A determination is made of whether the detected position is within a given distance of specific facilities. If it is found within the given distance, the telephone number of the portable telephone is detected, the mail address of the portable telephone is retrieved based on the telephone number, and information about the specific facilities is transmitted to the retrieved mail address. |
