PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character display device capable of changing the display form of characters by a simple procedure. SOLUTION: The character display device is provided with a display part to display a character string, a position specification part to accept specification of a position in a character string from a user, a display form change part to make the display part change the display form of characters in the character range determined based on the position specified by the user in the position specification part and the position of a predefined specific character included in the character string leaving the specific character displayed, and a determination part to determine whether a range specification symbol indicating one end of the character range is included in the character string or not. The display form change part defines the range of the character based on the position of the range specification symbol instead of the specific character if the determination part determines that the range specification symbol is included. |
