PURPOSE: A tower type container projection apparatus is provided to rapidly inspect large cargo transport vehicles like containers, while accurately displaying shape of the cargo transport vehicle without causing a distortion. CONSTITUTION: A tower type container projection apparatus(100) comprises a light source box having a radiation source for radiating radioactive rays to a container(500); a transport unit for transporting the light source box in a horizontal direction by the distance corresponding to the length of the container; a detection unit(400) arranged at the light source box so as to detect the radioactive rays passed through the container; a horizontal bar(300) having an end fixed to the light source box and the other end connected to the detection unit, and which allows the light source box and the detection unit to move integrally with each other; a converting unit for converting an electrical signal of the detection unit into a video signal; and a carrier(600) which carries the container and moves between the light source box and the detection unit, and a rail(610).
