PURPOSE: A system for information transaction by using a network and an operating method thereof are provided to offer information through on-line/off-line media to an individual or a company based on the electronic commerce after verifying the information and to offer a commission to an information provider. CONSTITUTION: First to 'n'th information purchaser terminals(100a-100n) are for payment upon information purchasing by using a specific payment unit and requesting for necessary information through a specific network. An operating module system(120) performs the overall control action for providing the requested information to an information purchaser terminal from a specific database. The database is managed by the operating module system. The operating module system processes charge settlement. First to nth information provider terminals(110a-110n) are for providing specific information with response to the occurrence of a request. The information providers receive a specific charge for information.
