<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily replace a high frequency induction heating coil according to kind of a crank shaft for hardening. SOLUTION: In this induction hardening apparatus, respective high frequency heating coils 22 are laid on a pin part and a columnar part of a journal part in the crank shaft 100 and a high frequency induction heating is performed while rotating the crank shaft 100, and thereafter, the pin part and the journal part are cooled and hardened with a cooling liquid spouting parts 3. The high frequency induction heating coil 22 and the cooling liquid spouting parts 3 have a different structure, and only the high frequency induction heating coil 22 can easily be exchanged into the corresponding high frequency induction heating coil 22 according to the kind of the crank shaft 100 by holding the cooling liquid spouting parts 3 to a prescribed cooling position with a holding member 24 fitted to the following mechanism 8 for allowing the high frequency induction heating coil 22 to follow to the above columnar part.</p> |
