PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment-sensitizing type solar battery capable of favorably securing sealing performance at a battery seal part for a long period, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: This pigment-sensitizing type solar battery comprises an optical electrode 1 having light transmitting performance and conductivity, and having pigment, a counter electrode 2 facing the optical electrode 1 at a specified interval from it, and having conductivity, an electrolyte layer 3 enclosed between the optical electrode 1 and the counter electrode 2, and the battery seal part 4 to achieve sealing to the electrolyte layer 3. The electrolyte layer 3 contains halogen such as iodine, and the battery seal part 4 is formed of polyisobutylene resin as base material. |
