TRANSMISSION BELT AND ADHESION METHOD OF POLY-PHENYLENE BENZOBISOXAZOLE FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength of a transmission belt by improving the adhesiveness of a core cord made of a poly-P-phenylene benzobisoxazole(PBO) fiber and a rubber composition of a belt body. SOLUTION: The core cord 18S is manufactured by forming a first coating layer 186 by reacting and fixing a mixture of an epoxy compound and latex to the outside of a raw yarn 184 prepared by twisting a filament 182 of PBO fiber, and further forming a second coating layer 187 by reacting and fixing RFL to the outside of the first coating layer 186. The transmission belt is manufactured by burying the core cord 18S in the rubber composition and vulcanizing the same.
