PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte composition with high durability and high ionic conductivity, an electrochemical battery with high durability and high photoelectric conversion characteristics, a nonaqueous secondary battery, and a photo-electrochemical battery. SOLUTION: This electrolyte composition contains a discotic liquid crystalline compound composed of a salt comprising an anionic portion containing an anionic group in the structure and a cationic portion containing a cationic group in the structure. The electrolyte composition is used for the electrochemical battery, the nonaqueous secondary battery, and the photo-electrochemical battery. |
