PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a manhole by reducing dimensions of a branch part when dividing an existing pipe. SOLUTION: A partition plate 2 for dividing a flow passage cross section of the existing pipe 101 into an upper part and a lower part is provided with a cover 3 to form a partitioned chamber 4 on the partition plate 2. An inflow port 5 is formed at the upstream side end of the partitioned chamber 4 to flow the sewer divided by the partition plate 2 into the partitioned chamber 4 from the inflow port 5. A guide surface 36 forcibly changes a flow direction of the flowing water (divided water) to the lateral direction to guide it to an outflow port 6.
