PURPOSE: A method for managing a patient using a bar code system is provided to prescribe a medicine for a patient easily by managing all businesses of a doctor and a nurse from an admission in a hospital to a leaving the hospital of the patient using a bar code system in real time, thereby managing a progressing state of an order accurately. CONSTITUTION: An inherent bar code is endowed to a doctor and a nurse, respectively. Also, a band including a bar code is endowed to a patient. The patient wears the band. In the case that the doctor writes a prescription and instructs an order, the doctor inputs one's bar code firstly. The nurse inputs one's bar code firstly for treating the patient. In the case that a medicine is a prescribed, the medicine is confirmed by inputting the bar code printed in the band and a bar code printed on a medicine envelope. Contents treated and checked by the doctor and the nurse are transmitted to a doctor terminal in real time and managed until the patient leaves the hospital. The doctor examines the treated contents and checks a state of the patient continuously.
