<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a vehicle capable of smoothly controlling the change of the light distribution characteristics by controlling a deflection angle of the lamp light with a minute step width even when an existing steering angle sensor is used in an adaptive lighting system (AFS) wherein an irradiating direction of the lamp light is changed while following up the traveling condition of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the AFS provided with lamp deflection angle control means 1, 2, 4 respectively provided with a steering angle sensor for detecting a steering direction of the vehicle and outputting a signal changed in steps to control the deflection angle of the lamp 30 on the basis of the output of the steering angle sensor 1, the lamp deflection angle control means 2 is provided with an arithmetic circuit means 204 for time shift averaging the output of the steering angle sensor 1. By averaging the output of the steering angle sensor 1 on a time shaft by the arithmetic circuit means 204, the output of step width smaller than that of the output of the steering angle sensor 1 can be obtained, and by changing and controlling the deflection angle of the lamp 30 on the basis of the output, the deflection angle of the lamp 30 can be changed and controlled with a minute step width.</p> |
