摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-beam scanner which can increase the number of scanning points of a multi-spot array without increasing the number of fiber lasers and can be constituted in a small space. SOLUTION: A lot of laser beam fluxes are radiated simultaneously from the end faces of a large number of laser fibers installed continuously in turn. The laser beam fluxes, after being radiated from the fiber end faces, are divided into at least two partial beam fluxes by an AOM array by using AOMs of the number corresponding to the number of the fiber end faces. The beam fluxes are modulated independently, and the fiber end faces are imaged on a film or a printing plate through an optical system. The fiber end faces, the AOM array, and the optical system are moved in common in the shaft direction of a drum in relation to the drum, and the film or the printing plate is scanned in the circumferential direction of the drum by using the multi-spot array. The number of the scanning points of the multi-spot array is increased without increasing the number of the laser fibers so that the space for the scanner can be reduced.</p>
