PURPOSE: A device and a method for paying a Giro using a wireless terminal are provided to enable a user to confirm the Giro by inputting a Giro number to a VAN(Value Added Network) company and to enable the user to pay the Giro charge by connecting to a financial organization having an account for paying the Giro charge. CONSTITUTION: The VAN company(34) receives a connection signal while transmitting a call signal through a wireless terminal, transmits an electronic signature program to the wireless terminal, and provides a VAN network for the EC(Electric Commerce). A financial payment center(36) checks the Giro number and certifies a transaction by connecting to the VAN company. A Giro issuance company(37) issues a Giro notice and provides the information of a subscriber by connecting to the VAN company. A financial organization server(39) carries out an account transfer process according to a subscriber's request by connecting to the VAN company. A payment management server(40) records and stores the information for a result of the Giro charge payment using the wireless terminal.
