A stripper (1) especially for use in difficult-to-reach spaces for stripping, for example a bolt (12a) from a fixed point (12) in a truck's steering system features a frame section (12) of cylinder or tube shape with an end wall (2c) at its one end and forked engagement devices (2b) at the other end.
