<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the existence of a clutter near noise and the difference of the clutter types as well as targets visible from a picture. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises at outputs of a maximum amplitude value detector circuit 1a region divider circuit 6 for dividing the picture area into small regions to be processed, a spectrum analyzer circuit 10 for extracting spectrum information showing features of cells in the divided regions, a range bin extractor circuit 6 for extracting range bins of amplitude values obtained from the output of the maximum amplitude value detector circuit 1, a clutter determining circuit 7 for discriminating between a clutter or noise from the region-divided range and the range bin extraction result within this range, a correlation processing-determining circuit 8 for processing a clutter correlation of the entire picture from the result of the spectrum analysis and the clutter discrimination result and a data interpolator circuit 5 for interpolating the amplitude difference between clutters of different kinds.</p> |
