PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent powder dust scraped away and generated from a wall face in a groove being rubbed against the end corner of a glass base during the transportation of the same from attaching to the glass base, and to prevent the surface of a glass base laminated with a surface protective film from being damaged caused by the coming off of the film resulted from the corner of the base being rubbed against the wall face in the groove in a wide area when the glass base with the film is transported. SOLUTION: The main body of this base transporting box is made of a polyolefin resin foamed body. The inside of the box main body is formed with a space for storing a plurality of bases. On a pair of facing inside faces of the main body, grooves 5A, 5B are formed for supporting the bases. At each tip end or near each tip end of the grooves 5A, 5B, protrusive parts 7A, 7A'; 7B, 7B' are formed protruding toward the inside of the grooves from protrusive strips 6A, 6B dividing the grooves 5A, 5B. The intervals between the protrusive parts 7A, 7A'; 7B, 7B' are bigger than the thickness of the base P.
