PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge residual rice in a short time by attaching scraping-up plates having lateral width larger than that of each of buckets to a bucket belt in an erected state to scrape up rice remaining on both left and right sides of buckets and diffusing rice from a high place to accumulate the same in a central bucket passing region and scooping up the same by succeeding buckets. SOLUTION: In a bucket conveyor wherein scrapers 4 are attached to the opening edges of some buckets 2 among a large number of the buckets 2 attached to the endless bucket belt and rice on a machine bottom is scooped up by the scrapers 4 to be housed in the buckets 2, the scraping-up plates 6 are attached to the bucket belt 1 in an erected state and both left and right ends of the scraping-up plates 6 are projected to the outside from the buckets 2 to scrape up rice on the lateral sides of the machine bottom to the central part thereof. Further, the bottom sides of the central parts of the scraping-up plates 6 are notched to form notch parts and both left and right side parts of the scraping-up plates 6 are bent inwardly to improve efficiency still more.
