PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy for circulating of hot air drying operation and con sumption of cooling water. SOLUTION: At the initial stage of drying operation, a washing and dewatering tub is rotated at high speed while heating, and the water cooling and dehumidifier start time is controlled according to the quantity of wash so as to reduce the heating power in drying operation and the consumption amount of cooling water. According to the wash (dried material), the washing and drying method is set to thereby realize efficient hot air drying operation hardly causing wrinkles.
