<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid controlled pilot operated clutch device capable of reducing a drag torque without so deteriorating responsiveness by adjusting the total clearance of a main clutch. SOLUTION: In this solenoid controlled pilot operated clutch device, a housing is integrally connected to one shaft in an oil chamber formed in a case, a rotating member is integrally connected to the other shaft; a main clutch, a cam amplifying mechanism, and a solenoid controlled pilot operated clutch are disposed in a clutch storage chamber formed in the housing so that a torque can be transmitted between one shaft and the other shaft by the operation of the clutch. The total clearance of the main clutch is set to a total clearance at an inflection point where the rate of a reduction in drag torque produced in the main clutch according to an increase in the total clearance is decreased suddenly.</p> |
