PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a verifying apparatus for allowing a divided state of a position to be verified by selecting the position likely to bring about a fault in a division when divided graphic form data is obtained from source data for drawing in a variable molding type EB drawing apparatus, and to simultaneously provide a method for correcting source data for drawing by using such a verifying method. SOLUTION: The apparatus for verifying the divided state of graphic form divided data from data of a predetermined area for an object of source data (original graphic form data) for processing the drawing in the case of drawing comprises a storage means for storing the source data for processing drawing, a means for dividing the data of at least a unit area of the source data for processing the drawing by incorporating the same dividing function as the dividing means of the source data for processing the drawing unit, a display means for displaying the source data for processing or divided graphic form data, and a means for controlling the graphic form display of the source data of graphic form display and processing the drawing of the divided graphic form data.
