PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact air intake structure of an outboard motor. SOLUTION: In this outboard motor 1 constituted in such a way that it has a cylinder head 15, cylinder blocks 16, and a crank case 17, a pair of cylinder blocks 16 are arranged in a V shape to form a V bank between the cylinder blocks 16, it is provided with a vertical four-cycle V-type engine 3 in which a crankshaft 4 is substantially vertically arranged therein, and the surroundings of the engine are covered with an engine cover 8, an air suction chamber 35 is arranged ahead the crank case 17, air intake pipes 40 extending in the forward and backward directions from the air suction chamber 35 toward the cylinder head 15 are arranged in side parts of both cylinder blocks 16, and the right and left air intake pipes 40 are arranged in parallel so that their air intake pipe ports 41 cross alternately in the vertical direction in the air suction chamber 35. |
