A vending machine comprising a transparent housing (2) mounted above a base (1) and below a roof (3), which together define a cabinet (6) for displaying products, and a user-operable robot arm (7) mounted within the cabinet (6) for picking up the products, the transparent housing (2) having a clyindrical shape in which an opening (4) is provided for providing access to the cabinet (6), the vending machine further comprising a rigid back wall (5), the housing (2) being rotatably mounted between the roof (3) and the base (1) and being rotatable about its central axis between a first position in which the opening (4) is covered by the rigid back wall (5) and a second position in which the opening (4) is uncovered by the rigid back wall (5). |
