PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extracting nucleic acids without requiring a high speed centrifuge generating >=10000 g acceleration, thus generating no problems in equipments, and the like and not generating mist which causes pseudo-positive reactions (contamination). SOLUTION: This method for extracting nucleic acids comprises (1) a process for adding >=40 μl polysaccharide as a carrier to 100 μl sample, (2) a process for adding a guanidine salt and alcohol for insolubilizing the carrier and nucleic acids and (3) a process for separating the insolubilized nucleic acids and the carrier by centrifuge capable of obtaining 2000 g-10000 g acceleration. |
