摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and surely separating cobalt from nickel at a higher selection rate. SOLUTION: This method for separating and manufacturing the electrolytic cobalt comprises electrolyzing a cobalt- and nickel-containing solution under acidity of a pH 0 to 3 in the presence of a dissolved halogen and depositing cobalt on the surface of a cathode. According to this method, from bivalent to tervalent oxidation by the dissolved halogen takes place only for the cobalt ions and does not take place for the nickel ions or even if the tervalent nickel ions are formed, the selectivity to the reduction of both ions varies and therefore only the cobalt ions of the cobalt and nickel having analogous properties can be reduced and deposited as metals without the need for medicines and intricate operations.</p>
