PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the projecting height of a hood variable at need in visual field observation and treatment by an endoscope, and to facilitate washing of the hood and the endoscope by removing the hood from the body at the tip. SOLUTION: This hood for the endoscope is provided at the tip of the endoscope. The tip part of an insert part of the endoscope is provided with a mover operated to move, whereby the movement of the mover is operated on this side of the endoscope, and the mover can be attached and detached to and from the tip part of the endoscope.
