PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming material which can supply dampening water stably without deterioration in image strength and plate wear to obtain stable printing quality, a lithographic printing plate material, and a method for manufacturing a lithographic printing plate by using the material. SOLUTION: In the image forming material, an image forming layer containing polymer particles is formed on a support, at least one kind of the polymer particles is heat-fusible polymer particles, and the image is formed by the heat fusion properties of the particles. The heat-fusible polymer particles 50-120 deg.C in Tg are contained in an active methylene group-containing polymer latex. The lithographic printing plate material and the method for manufacturing the lithographic printing plate by using the material are provided.
