<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter with which a bright image can be obtained by allowing light in various colors to efficiently enter the respective cell positions in the display device. SOLUTION: The color filter using a hologram is composed of a hologram panel 1, a projection lens 5 and a prism element 4. The hologram panel is prepared by arranging three kinds of grating cells having different intervals of fringes. The prism element consists of five prisms having flat planes with different inclination angles arranged on a line. The light is spectrally dispersed by the grating cells having different intervals of fringes and made to enter the five prisms A, B, C, D and E of the prism element. The light spectrally separated into colors is spatially shifted and superposed by the prisms.</p> |
