HOME GATEWAY IN STREAMING DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, SUPERVISORY SERVER AND STREAMING DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce installation costs of a communication network for warranting a band withstanding many unspecified users by enabling distribution from other part than a distribution server in a system for distributing video streams through Internet broadcast or the like. SOLUTION: A home gateway 40 where a use's home relays a video stream is provided with a function for storing and distributing video streams distributed from a distribution server 20 or other home gateway and a function of transmitting stored information to a supervisory server 10 to permit video acquisition by a client device 50 designated by the supervisory server 10. The supervisory server 10 manages the information from the home gateway 40, selects an optimum video storage location to a video image request from the client device 50, and indicates it to the client device 50.
