PURPOSE: An excavator tension cylinder tension control device is provided to keep tension of a track appropriately without special operation, to prevent the damage of an idler and components and to prevent environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: The excavator tension cylinder tension control device comprises a hydraulic motor(1) discharging working oil, a pressure control valve(2) controlling the working oil sent from the hydraulic motor(1) into the preset pressure, a tension cylinder(6) connected with the pressure control valve(2) and installed on an idler, a check valve(3) installed on a pipeline between the pressure control valve(2) and the tension cylinder(6), a relief valve(4) connected with the tension cylinder(6), and a hydraulic tank(5) connected with the relief valve(4) to keep the optimum pressure of the tension cylinder(6) automatically.
