PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the detecting accuracy of a magnetic sensor by assuring excellent accuracy in spacing pole areas apart from one another, relating to a method of magnetizing a pulser ring for use in rotation detection apparatus for detecting rotation of an automobile wheel or the like. SOLUTION: A wheel-shaped elastic body 30 with magnetic powders dispersed and admixed therein is evenly elongated in its radially outward direction and north poles 32 and south poles 33 are alternately formed in its circumferential direction for magnetization. The elastic body is made of, e.g. rubber.
