<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compressor that can match shapes of RGB image data in the case of implementing expansion processing so as to prevent color bleeding from being caused. SOLUTION: The image compressor includes; a luminance image data generating means 18 that obtains luminance image data from RGB image data; a compression window generating means 19 that generates respective compression windows from the RGB image data and the luminance image data, a bit map generating means 21 that obtains a luminance average in the compression windows and generates a bit map where 1 is set to pixels whose luminance value is greater than the luminance average and 0 is set to pixels whose luminance value is smaller than the luminance average, a high density representative value generating means 16 that obtains respective RGB average density values on the basis of density values of pixels in the compression windows in which the bit map is set to 1 to obtain a high density representative value, and a low density representative value generating means 17 that obtains respective RGB average density values on the basis of density values of pixels in the compression windows in which the bit map is set to 0 to obtain a low density representative value.</p> |
