PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update a document in a server device through a network on a WWW system, while keeping consistency of the document, and to thereby improve convenience. SOLUTION: This document management program and this method are used in the server device connectable to the network, and used for managing updatably a document file in the server device on the WWW system. When using a document preservation DB for preserving the document file and a document management repository for storing state information for showing aye and no of writing in each document file and receiving an updation request of the document file through the network 20, a document management part 13 refers to the state information in the document management repository corresponding to the pertinent document file, and performs updation processing of the document file when the state information shows aye of writing. |
