PURPOSE: A device for opening/closing a branch pipe and a valve using the same are provided to simplify configuration of the device and allow for ease of opening/closing operation of the branch pipe. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a pipe(100) for supplying water; an opening/closing rotation unit(200) coupled to a stepped portion(120) formed at an internal passage(110) of the pipe, and which cuts off or branches the water being supplied through the pipe; a driving gear unit(300) gear-coupled in a vertical direction to the opening/closing rotation unit; and an operation handle unit(400) which is coupled to the driving gear unit through a screw in such a manner that the operation handle unit is rotatable integrally with the driving gear unit and maintains an airtightness with respect to the internal passage of the pipe.
