PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which an image display having good visibility is provided regardless of the brightness of the environment while the power consumption is kept low. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a reflection type liquid crystal display panel 2 which is provided with a light reflection surface 23 that reflects light beams passing through liquid crystals 21 from the front surface and an organic EL display panel 1 which conducts image displaying by a plurality of light emitting pixels made of organic EL. The panel 1 is superposed on the front of the panel 2 and has light transmissivity in the thickness direction.
