PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate making method that ensures high sensitivity to infrared laser light and good printing resistance and suppresses contamination by ablation as a plate making method for an IR sensitive original plate of a planographic printing plate capable of direct plate making by recording from digital data of a computer or the like with a solid laser and a semiconductor laser emitting IR. SOLUTION: In the method for making a planographic printing plate, an IR sensitive original plate of a planographic printing plate having an image forming layer on a support comprising (A) an IR absorbent, (B) a radical generator, (C) a radical polymerizable compound, (D) a binder polymer and (E) a UV polymerization initiator having a polymerizable unsaturated group is imagewise exposed with IR, developed and exposed overall. |
