EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR DECOMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposition and removal equipment for hazardous substance which manifests high decomposition efficiency without separately treating liquid phase including absorbed hazardous substance and to provide a method for the same. SOLUTION: This method induces an organic halide into a gas-absorption column 2 from a supply means 1 for the decomposition object. The absorption column 2 is provided with a storage tank 3 which stores absorbing liquid, and a gas-liquid contact section 4 inside of the tower. The absorption liquid 8 is stored in the storage tank 3, and electrodes 9 are oppositely arranged in the storage tank 3. The absorption liquid 8 in the storage tank 3 is lifted by a circulation pump 12 through a circulating pipe 11 and sprayed on the upper section of the gas-liquid contact section 4.
