PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing a polychlorobiphenyl (PCB)- decomposing thermophilic microorganism, aiming at a cost down by increasing its treating speed and omitting an expensive intermixed sundry bacteria- preventing system, a device for the same and a method for decomposing the PCB. SOLUTION: This method for culturing the PCB-decomposing thermophilic microorganism is characterized by performing the culture while feeding a gas phase biphenyl or its analogs into a liquid medium containing the PCB- decomposing thermophilic microorganism. The culturing device 21 is characterized by comprising a supplying device 22 for supplying heated gas containing the gas phase of the biphenyl or its analogs and a culturing vessel 23 housing culturing liquid 33 and bringing the heated gas supplied by the feeding device in contact with the culturing liquid. The method for decomposing the PCB is provided by culturing the PCB-decomposing thermophilic microorganism in the PCB-containing medium by using the culturing device.
