PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable switching, when there are two electrical output generating circuits having an identical electrical output mode, and when one of the circuits fails while in use, to the other electrical output generating circuit. SOLUTION: A power supply 10 comprises two electrical output generating circuits 2A, 2B having an identical electrical output mode, and a switch 3 for selecting one of these two electrical output generating circuits. The power supply 10 is so arranged that a common connection terminal 4 is provided for both the electrical output generating circuits 2A, and 2B, with an external apparatus 20 removably connected to the connection terminal. When one of the two electrical output generating circuits fails during use, switching is made to the other electrical output generating circuit not in use by the selector switch 3 automatically through an abnormal voltage detecting circuit 5 and a relay 6 or manually by means of a manual switch 8 and a relay 9 thus sustaining power supply to the external apparatus in use. |
