PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yo-yo toy capable of being customized by a user. SOLUTION: The yo-yo toy comprises two cylindrical cores joined together by a shaft, with one end of a string engaged with the shaft. The yo-yo toy has an outer component which is removably fitted over the cores to form the body of the toy. The body is formed by attaching the outer component and the yo-yo toy can be easily repaired or altered by changing the outer component.
